2 Euro

Andorra adopted the euro as its official currency following a monetary agreement with the European Union, with euro coins issued from 2014. As a small co-principality governed jointly by the Bishop of Urgell and the President of France, Andorra was long a monetary associate of its neighbours before formalising its relationship with the eurozone. The national coat of arms, which incorporates symbols of the four co-princes who historically governed Andorra, has appeared on all Andorran euro coin obverses.
