France 2 Euro 2024 – Paris Olympic and Paralympic Games
Bi-metallic coin with a Nordic gold centre and nickel brass outer ring. The obverse displays the Eiffel Tower rendered dynamically alongside a decorative necklace motif, a flower, the inscription 'RF' and '2024', the Paris 2024 Olympic flame logo, and the Olympic and Paralympic rings with 'PARIS 2024'. The reverse bears the standard eurozone design: the numeral '2' at left with a map of Europe and 'EURO' inscription, encircled by twelve stars.
Issued to celebrate the hosting of the 2024 Summer Olympic and Paralympic Games in Paris, France — the first Olympic Games held in Paris since 1924. The coin was struck by the Monnaie de Paris and circulated as legal tender throughout the eurozone. The design evokes Parisian identity through the Eiffel Tower while prominently featuring the official Paris 2024 branding.
