Germany 2 Euro 2021 – Sachsen-Anhalt (Magdeburg Cathedral)
Bi-metallic coin with a nickel-brass outer ring and a copper-nickel-zinc inner disc. The obverse depicts Magdeburg Cathedral with the inscription SACHSEN-ANHALT, the year 2021, and mint mark F. The reverse shows the standard eurozone map design with the denomination 2 EURO.
Part of the ongoing German federal states series, this coin highlights Saxony-Anhalt through the iconic Magdeburg Cathedral, one of Germany's oldest Gothic cathedrals, founded in 937 AD by Emperor Otto I and rebuilt in its current Gothic form between the 13th and 16th centuries.
